The Oaktree School
My visit to The Oaktree School
18th - 22nd March 2002
by Paddington Bear
(with some help from my friends in Owls Class, Year 2)
I arrived at The Oaktree School on Monday 18th March, 2002 just in time for Literacy Hour with Year 2 Owls Class. The Oaktree School is an eight-class Infants School of about 240 children near Woking in Surrey. I soon settled in with my new classmates and although we couldn't go on the planned Minibeast Hunt in the school grounds (it was pouring with rain!), I spent the day having a good look around the school!
Monday - Some interesting things I found around The Oaktree School
Tuesday - Some of my new friends took me to visit Woking Town Centre and I met the Mayor
Wednesday - Owls Class wrote stories all about me - Look at their story-starts - can you add what happens next?
Thursday - I learned all about fractions using marmalade sandwiches! I had my portrait painted and had a car designed just for me.
Friday - The Oaktree School Grandparents Festival - I met some lovely people - a pity Great Aunt Isobella couldn't come!
